WELCOME TO SPRINGHOUSE

Head of School's Welcome

I want to tell you about a very special place. On any given day at Springhouse, magic is afoot. You might arrive to hear teens and adults singing together or dancing in the Great Hall. You might enter a course and join a discussion that weaves disciplines together in order to create something new. You definitely will be greeted by teens and adults who have the light of inspiration in their eyes.

Springhouse is reimagining the purpose and practice of education in order to better serve our youth, strengthen community, and to be a model of holistic education for educators. Research indicates that engaging and innovative educational methods, and healthy, inspired adults, are needed to better prepare adolescents for their futures. Springhouse graduates take many paths as they enter young adulthood. They are self aware and empathetic, think critically, solve problems creatively, and are engaged, inspired and committed citizens.

For those looking to reimagine education by designing structures that support creative and healthier ways of being in the world, Springhouse Community School is a living laboratory to experience a new educational design in action. Though new, this design is rooted in principles that are universal and ancient in their wisdom. Please spend some time exploring our website. There is so much to learn about this unique and dynamic place! If you have questions and would like to learn more, please reach out. I'd love to talk with you.

Sincerely,
